We run our own CNC Lathe, Mill and CNC EDM wire cutter, on the same site as our extrusion press. Because our capabilities are on the same site, a die can be manufactured in the tool shop within 48 hours from design confirmation.
Final Design Approval
Once the die is manufactured we run a trial and when the performance is stable, a sample of the extruded profile is couriered to the customer for final approval.
In-House Manufacture
At ALEXCO we are unique in our ability to design and manufacture dies in-house – the only extruders in NZ who can run end-to-end design to production.
Life of a Die
Dies do have a life and when they wear out we replace them in-house at no cost to the customer.
